Almaden Quicksilver

Karen and I did a loop hike of about 7 miles starting at the McAbee trailhead. We found this a very enjoyable hike. When we arrived it seemed pretty busy--lots of cars, but it seemed most folks were finishing their morning runs or walks. After we got on the trail, especially at the far end of the loop, we didn’t run into many people.

We found 14 caches, most of them quite straightforward although some had significant bushwhacking involved with some steep climbing. Karen did well. Part of the trail was along a shaded trail next to a running stream, and part of the trail was on a ridgeline with good views of San Jose.

A Highly Repulsive cache was a twisted high point--enjoyed it.
